The reason I chose No Country For Old Men is because I have seen most of the movie and it was very good. I wanted something full of action and suspense, this book fills that need. This book is about a drug dealer who is on the hunt for money that got stolen from him. He is ruthless, he will not stop searching until he is dead, and he will not die. It doesn't matter how many people he has to kill he will get the money back. I love how the book is told through the eyes of the hunter and the prey, its really cool seeing both of there perspectives on the matter at hand, it also switches to a sheriff watching all the events unfold which is a cool twist. Overall I'm really liking this book so far, its just as good as the movie if not better, I'm going to have to watch the movie again!

Best Thing About Fahrenheit 451
The best thing about the book Fahrenheit 451 is that all my predictions about Mildred turned out to be true. At the beginning of the book I thought that she wasn't going to be very smart, the way she thinks and talks. Also she took all the pills in her bottle which wasn't a very smart thing to do. I also thought that she was going to be a burden for Guy always asking for money and never listening to him. But most of all when she found out about Guys books I thought she was going to rat him out and she did! What sent her over the edge was when guy brought out a book of poetry and read it to her friends. I am very happy with my predictions, they are the best thing about the book so far.
Enders Game Review
The book Enders game was amazing the book kept me hooked the entire time with its witty characters and surprising plot twists. To summarize Enders Game it is about this boy named Ender Wiggin, who is extremely intelligent. His sole purpose in life is to save the world. There is an alien species that they call Buggers, these buggers are trying to wipe out the human race. Enders job is to be the leader of the armada of ships that were sent to fight the Buggers. Most of the story takes place when he is getting trained. I feel that anyone who likes Sci-Fi or action books in general would love this book. I would give this book a 10/10, its just that good. I can't wait to see the movie to see if its just as good. I love his writing style, he portrays his characters well, gets there way of thinking down. Overall Enders Game was a great book and I would gladly recommend it to anyone.

The Mark of Athena Theme
The theme of The Mark Of Athena is redemption. This is the theme because at the begining of the story the group is shunned by the Romans and they want to destroy them. They need to go to Rome to save their friend Nico, get the lost statue of Athena, and get all the way back to Long Island Sound to save Camp Halfblood. If they can do all that they can redeem themselves and save the day. It will be very hard to complete these tasks because two evil giants are guarding Nico and they can't be killed unless they have the help of a god. The statue is guarded by Arachne, Athena's mortal enemy. She was turned into the first spider a long time ago when she thought she could beat Athena in a weaving contest. She is also one of Annabeths worst fears. Then when they finally complete all these tasks they have to get back to Camp Halfblood which is a whole ocean away. If they complete all these tasks they will have more than redeemed themselves.
Coach Hedge
Coach Hedge is the main characters caretaker and supervisor during their journey. He watches over them, protects them, and makes sure they stay out of trouble. He is hyper active and is always looking for a fight. He loves karate and professional wrestling. I can connect this to myself because he reminds me of my dad. My dad is crazy, hyperactive, always yelling just like Coach Hedge. He would do anything for me and the wrestling team. Thats how I connected
Gerard The Donkey
Most of the main charecters have a steed or animal they ride. Percy has a pegesus named Blackjack that has been his friend since he saved him from a monster infested boat. Jason has a wind spirit named Tempest that he rides who can be pretty uncontrollable. Hazel has Arion who is the fastest most obnoxious horse in the world. The way I connect this to myself is that i live next to a barn and 3 or 4 donkies and horses's live there. Our favorite is a donkey that we name Gerard he is always hungry and sometimes we take him carrots. One time he rolled on the floor on his back a dog it was really funny. I love Gerard as much as Percy loves Blackjack he is the best.
Boating
One of the main characters Percy Jackson has the power to control boats and the ocean at will. I can connect this to myself because I have gone boating and it was a really cool experience. Unlike the main character I could not control the boat with my mind. We want to the East Fork State Park, we tubed and kneeboard while we were there it was so cool. I got up on the kneeboard on my first try and got outside the wake it was so cool. At one point we stopped the boat and swam around a little. We had a lot of fun that day and it was a really cool experience. Maybe not as cool as being able to control the water and steer the boat but it was still fun. I would do it again any time!

Huge Eater
Percy likes to eat, big time. That sounds like me I love to eat and I'll practically eat anything too. Pery's favorite food in the book has to be pizza, he its it pretty much everywhere in th ship in Rome, he seriously loves it. My favorite food is probably my moms chicken and noodles, its like chicken noodle soup except its in a pan and has breadcrumbs all over it. It tastes great! You can connect to your story with just about anything.
Being Scared
In the book one of the main charecters Annabeth is petrified of spiders. Her fear started when she was really little and while she was going to sleep, wave after wave of spiders kept biting her. When she told her parents they did not belive her and told her to go back to bed. This is one of the reasons she ran away from home. The way I can relate this to me is that i have a small fear of heights, well not really heights just being strapped into a harness and the harness snapping. Like for example when I go rock climbing and I'm really high up, I'm afraid my harness is going to snap and I'm going to fall. I had to get over this fear really quick when I ziplined over the Miami river, which was a really cool experience. This is just one of the many ways I can connect to my book.
Annabeth Characterization
Annabeth is a very smart girl a daughter of the wisdom godess Athena. But her mother is very confused right now because her personality is split, she practically has schizophrenia. Her mother gave her a very difficult quest, practically a suicide mission. This mission takes place in Rome and she is getting back something very important for her mother, a relic of her that the Romans stole. Thats why her mother is confused she is split between Greek and Roman cultures. The mission is a suicide mission because it is centred around her worst fear spiders. I have no dought she will get through it and reclaim the statue.
Mark of Athena Setting Update 2
Our heroes have finally made it to the great city of Rome. This is where they have been heading the whole story. They have been fighting and clawing there way across the Atlantic ocean to get here and they finally made it. Rome is beutiful with winding streets and amazing sights, but there are hidden dangers as well. Like powerful unftamed monsters and evil giants. Their quest is not even done yet they still have to find Nico who could be anywhere in the city and Annabeth has a quest a suicide mission that she must do on her own. Even though they have made it to their destination they have many challenges ahead.

The Mark of Athena Review
So far the book is great jam packed with the thing I love action, action, action! If thats what your looking for this books for you. It has a little bit of romance but not enough for it to be all mushy gushy. Has a great story line they are searching for there friend who was captured by giants. I would recomend this book to pretty much anybody it is really good! Anybody could just pick it up and read it and not want to put it down. There is plenty of suspence it is constantly keeping you on the edge of your seat. i would give this book a 10 out of 10 it's just that good.
The Mark of Athena Setting Update
The setting in The Mark of Athena is very intresting and cool, It takes place on a massive ship called the Argo 2. Like I said before it is a big ship it has stables for pegasus, cabins for all the demigods and even one for Coach Hedge, a huge engine room ( They need to keep that thing in the sky somehow, yeah I said sky), a giant mess hall that can make you pretty much any food you could want, and a huge deck that has the most complex steering wheel you will ever see, it even has a Wii remote on it! That probably isn't even everything on the ship thats only the stuff i've read about so far. So as you can see it has pretty much everything a questing demigod could want, even a a shroud around the ship to protect there aura from monsters. This is where they will spend most of there time in the story, if there not off killing monsters there on the ship relaxing and resting. They are going to rome which is a very dangerous place for demigods, they will definitly need the ship. This is one really cool setting.

Why I chose The Mark of Athena
The reason I chose The Mark of Athena as my next book is because it is the next book in the series. It is continuing the story of the last 2 books with all of the same wonderful charecters. In the book they have to go save there demigod friend Nico from two giants. Again I think this book is easy to relate to because it is centered around teenagers and they have problems just like us, besides the killing monsters part. I'm really looking forward to reading this book. It's going to be really great I can already tell.
The Son of Neptune Review
The Son of Neptune is a great book and I would reccomend it to anyone. The begining immediately hooks you starting out with a lot of action and introduces all of the main charecters. I feel like this book has something for everyone action, romance, and even suspense. This is the second book in the series and I would reccomeend reading some of Rick Riordan's other books to get to know the characters. You can actually learn a thing or two from the book too because it is centered around Greek and Roman mythology. All the books that he has written have been great and this one is no exception. If you are looking for a good read pick this book up and give it a try!

Characterization Update in The Son of Neptune
The three main characters in the book The Son of Neptune are very diverse and have many different traits and problems. Percy is a son of Neptune the sea god. He has a just arrived at camp Jupiter and has no recollection of his past except for one thing his girlfriend Annabeth, he misses her desperately and wants to make it home. He is new at camp and has very few friends. Percy is a very powerful demigod with the power to control water and fearsome skills with his sword Riptide. One of his new friends at camp, Hazel has many problems of her own. Hazel was born in a different time period, she was born in the 1900's. She is in a new time period where the technology is like nothing she has ever seen before. Hazel is also suffering from blackouts because he does not belong in this time period. Hazel is a daughter of Pluto the god of death and wealth. Her half brother Nico also the son of Pluto is the one who brought her back from the dead. Hazel has a special ability the ability to control any wealth under the earth. But there's a catch anybody who touches the precious objects, gets hurt in a horrible accident. She is not liked very much at camp except for her friend Frank. Frank is a son of Mars and he is a little bit of a klutz. He thinks that he will never amount to anything even though he keeps being told that he has a special gift and that he is extremely powerful. With this great power comes a price his lifeline is connected to a half burned piece of drift wood, if the wood catches on fire he will die. All the main characters in the book are very powerful and compliment each other well. Their problems become easier to handle when they are together. They have a very tough journey ahead of them.
Setting Update in The Son of Neptune
The setting in The Son of Neptune is in the western United States. The book starts in California moving up to Seattle. they are moving through the western united states trying to eventually get to Alaska to kill the giant Alcyoneus the bane of Pluto. Along the way there are many mishaps and monsters to fight. In California our hero's, Percy, Hazel, and Fran fight these monsters called Gorgons which are creepy ladies with snakes for hair and tiny bat wings. In Seattle they get captured by Amazons which are highly trained female warriors and they must escape and continue there journey. In Alaska they face there toughest challenge the giant Alcyoneus who is bigger stronger and meaner than anything else they have fought before. It will take all there skills and cunning to defeat him. The setting has a huge impact in the story every new place they go brings a new monster or challenge. Hopefully this update has shown you the struggles that each new setting brings for the characters in my book.

Why I chose The Son of Neptune
The reason I chose my book was I have read a lot of books by this author and I really like his work. Also they are entertaining and you never know whats going to happen next. The book is also easy to relate to because it is centered around teenagers, with everyday problems while they are slaying monsters. The book is about these kids who are half god and they fight monsters. They are always on the run fighting for there lives, on there many misadventures. I have read all the books by this author up to this point except one, which I am eagely waiting to get my hands on. Here is a link to a review on The Son of Neptune
